Position two in Val d´Isère for Head-skier Gerg

December 22nd, 2006

The track record of the Head-Tyrolia team goes on. After Bode Miller´s victories, two second places scored by Didier Cuche and further top ten results now also German Annemarie Gerg has reached a place on the podium for her skiing-team.

Annemarie Gerg has achieved a place on the World cup podium for the first time of her career. Still ranking on the sixth place after the first run the German made her skis run in the lower section at the final and clocked a top time. So she overtook one competitor after the other and could catapult herself forward on the second position up to the end.

Invigorated by this success the Head-Tyrolia-Team can look ahead more than confidently on the further season which continues with races for the men in Bormio and for the women in Semmering after Christmas. The second place should quicken Annemarie Gerg in such a way that she can look forward with full optimism to the World Championships in Aare and hope on a repetition of her success from Val d´Isère.
