Buechel Skis Strongly at the Top
Buechel has already been showing his good form at the first races of the season. He made a trip to the podium in Lake Louise (CAN). The Head athlete turned things up a notch in Val Gardena and claimed the victory after having had the best performance in the upper section. Following Johann Grugger´s (AUT) win on Friday, December 16, 2005, another athlete achieved the second consecutive win on Head skis.

With his victory, Marco Buechel has also made a leap forward in the downhill World Cup standings. With 206 points, the 34-year-old is in third place after four races. It was the second World Cup win of Buechel´s career. Before the race in Val Gardena, he had already won the 2003 Super-G in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
