Podium places again for Didier Cuche and Maria Riesch

The Head Racers achieved two podium finishes in the World Cup Downhill Event in Gröden, Italy and at the Womens Downhill at St. Moritz.

The Classic Saslong Run in Italy held another impressive event with one section of the course contributing tight rollers through a fast turn, requiring the racers to be assertive and powerful. The authoritive Cuche was able to manage the turn professionally and lead the Head Team with his 2nd Place podium finish. Cuches colleagues, Ambrosi Hoffmann with a solid run finished in 5th Place, with Bode Miller finishing in 8th, and Andreas Buder in 10th. Cuche is currently leading all competitors in the Overall World Cup Standings.

With Maria Riesch clocking the third fastest time of the day, the German Star was once again able to accomplish a podium position. Riesch performed with calm concentration that showed in her flawlessly smooth run at St. Moritz Resort in Switzerland. With Rieschs exceptional skill her first season victory is certainly obtainable, and also with her currently in 4th Place Overall, the top of the World Cup Points ranking is also attainable.

On December 16th, the Head Men will be at Alta Badia in Italy for a Giant Slalom Event and the Head Women will be competing in a Super-G Event at St. Moritz in Switzerland.
