Third place after the Downhill
In the morning the Downhill was the first part of the race for the ladies. On the challenging slope “Rohne-Alpes“ on the “Solaise“ mountain Elisabeth Görgl showed an impressive run and finished third in the Downhill, offering a perfect point of departure for the following Slalom.
First medal at the Worlds for Görgl
Between the poles Görgl kept the focus carving down the slope with a finish time of 49:98. The overall score of 2:21.01 minutes was good enough for the desired place on the podium and the bronze medal, thrilling the HEAD racer with her first WC-medal ever. Being one of the favorites in the Giant Slalom taking place on Thursday, the 27-year-old lady still keeps her chances for more medals at the World Ski Championships in Val d’Isère.
