100 teams of two athletes from 11 nations came to Stockholm archipelago to compete in one of the toughest one- day races in the world - Ö till Ö (island to island). The total distance of 65 km covers 19 islands with 54 km of running and 11 km of open- water swimming between the islands.

Tough conditions with strong winds and rough sea made the swim sections demanding. HEAD’s sponsored team FJS described the conditions like swimming in a washing machine. The team crossed the finish line after 9 hours and 40 minutes, a great achievement which resulted in 3rd place, 30 minutes after the winning team. Johan Hasselmark raced in HEAD goggle Tiger SLR and Daniel Hansson in Superflex.

This unique event was well-attended by media and resulted in great coverage for the competition, the athletes and the HEAD brand. The long term partnership with Ö till Ö is a great way to connect with the best athletes and in turn developing products that suit their needs.

- “We are very pleased to work with HEAD Swimming. The company adds a new way of thinking in terms of swimming that suits this race perfectly. HEAD Swimming stands for innovative high quality products and is a great contributor to the sport” said Michael Lemmel, racing director for Ö to Ö.
