Question10: What is the strongest argument for your DC to convince me as customer to dive at your DC?
Our diving area is unique in Germany. Our DC are easily accessible by car and offers perfect accommodation for families and groups.
The wrecks in the Baltic Sea are unique in the world.
Our DC are optimally equipped and the dives can be booked individually
Question9: What else can be done/seen at your place. Are there other sport/culture activities to see/attend and could I come with family and/or kids?
Families are welcome to the camping parks. There is children's animation, sports programs and many different restaurants.
The trips to the dive sites never last longer than 2 hours so that the divers always quickly return to their families and children are.
Question8: What is the best time to come to go diving at your place?
All bases are open from early April to late October.
The best time in the Baltic Sea, to see the “Seeehase” is April and Mai.
Always on the first Saturday in December, we have on the Baltic Sea base in Rerik a special, big event – the Christmasdiving!
More than 500 divers come every year to find the sunken Christmas Tree and throw a big party.
Question7: What kind of breathing gas is used on your DC and what is available as safety/back-up infrastructure at your DC or nearby?
Our diving depths are not very large, but the temperatures is low, so we only fill compressed air.
All boats and bases are equipped with first aid kits - oxygen, radio and telephone.
The emergency medical care is very good. A decompression chamber can be reached from anywhere in 30 minutes.
Question6: How does your staff looks like? Are there instructors that speak different languages? Can they deal also with kids or disabled persons? Can I do some training specialties during my dives?
Our instructors and dive guides speak German and english. On our diving centers you can complete all specialty courses.
All diving centers have equipment for children and provide special training for kids.
Especially popular are the wreck diving courses in historic wrecks in the Baltic Sea.
On the diving center Thomsdorf we will teach all levels of diving. From beginner to dive professionals in directly courses.
Question5: How does your DC look like and how many equipment sets do you have? Do I need to bring my own equipment or can I rent equipment at the DC?
Each DC has 25 complete sets of equipment from Mares, especially for cold water. Efficient clean air compressors and a large stock tanks ensure a smooth air supply.
The DC Thomsdorf has a big stock on dry suits for rent or for testing.
In spring and autumn on the Baltic Sea, a dry suit to recommend.
Question4: What kind of boats, cars or other kind of transportation do you use to get divers to the dive sites?
We work with 8m long day cruisers and offshore zodiac for 6 -8 diver. The rides take these boats to the dive site between 20 - 40 mins.
The lakes are located in a nature reserve, where boats will be used exclusively by an electric motor. These boats can be rented and operated without a license, itself.
Question3: Which dive sites you go to and how are the dives there?
All three dive centers have very beautiful natural dive sites, which can be reached directly from the beach.
The historic wrecks of two Baltic Dive Centers can be reached with our fast Offshore RIBS in 30 - 50 minutes. The wrecks are placed at depths between 5 - 25m.
In the spring you will find at the Baltic Sea, not far from the beach in 5 to 10m depth, the impressive “ Seehase” of brood care.
Question2: How I can get to your DC and are there special things to organize like Visa or permissions to dive at your place?
The Best way to arrive at our DC is by car. Tere are no special permissions needed.
Q1: Where is your Dive Center located and what is so special about it?
Our two Atlantis - Baltic Dive Centers are located on two different, very beautiful camping parks on the coast of the Baltic Sea not far from Hamburg and Lübeck, or Rostock and Wismar.
In this particular cold water area, there are a lot of old shipwrecks with an age between 100-300 years. These mostly of wood or steel built ships are fully preserved and very nice to dive in a depth of 20m.
These wrecks are dived exclusively by archaeologists and professional divers. We are the first and only dive center in Germany that allows scuba divers to dive at these wrecks.
Our only 80 km from Berlin remote dive center is located in a unique area shaped by the last ice age. This 25,000 years old glacial lakes are beautiful, up to 80m deep and very, very clear. In the lakes you will find many trusting pike, carp and other fish, as well as an interesting fauna at depths between 5 - 40m
